Post-Lich Boat Area in Prophecies
You know how when you beat Hell's Precipice, in the end cutscene the team runs onto a boat that sails away to Droknar's Forge? How about instead of coming out of the cinematic in Droknar's Forge you come out of it on board that boat? And accompanying you are a few [rescued dwarves and Shining Blade personnel], who just happen to have some green weapons on hand that they are willing to trade for Glint's token of gratitude, a [Crystal of the Oracle]. The stuff in brackets can be anything, I don't really care, but you get the idea.
Endgame greens may be no great shakes to the kind of player who frequents Guru, but they are pretty damn exciting when it's a big accomplishment just to complete a campaign. They constitute a tangible reward and souvenir, and are one of the nicest touches in the later chapters. It would be great if this feature was added to Prophecies, especially as more new players are entering Prophecies for the first time via the Platinum Edition.

We all want it, but the sad fact remains that ArenaNet is massively busy with GW2 and won't code something like that even if everyone on Guru wanted it. Wishing for it and getting it are different things.

Victorious, your party sails off into an oncoming storm, where the world is unpredictable and unsure. The end.
Or... well... as long as they avoid the gimmick of "wow, you saved the world!" that has been every other chapter... then I can surpass it. I don't mind the other endings... too much. I do believe it might marr the beauty that is prophecies :P.

Hm... they are SOO busy that they felt compelled to fix a "vital bug" in Cynn's dress? SOO busy that they gave us an almost totally pointless "concise description" to skills? From the recent things that Arenanet have fixed... they don't seem as busy with GW2 as we would all like... which is concerning.

I bet they have a long list of things worth doing to GW1 and just pick one at random whenever they feel they need a break from GW2.

Although Prophecies deserves and Endgame area that all the other campaigns have (you cannot say that EotN Epilogue is Prophecies endgame since you can have it without having Prophecies) but I think that better that the boat, a 'Victory party at Thunderheap Keep' would be better.

What I think they should do is add in a quest after the Titan quests *seeing how that can be considered the "real" end of the game* that takes you to see glint and she gives you endgame greens. The quest being non-repeatable you won't be able to go there again and, to make it so no one can go there with another person, make it a solo quest.
As for your idea of the boat, not bad except that there would not be any shining blade, as they never even went to the Ring of Fire except at perdition rock, which was kinda pointless, and the dwarves, well we see them ALL die at the beginning of the Ring of Fire mission, and I think Khilbron even says that they all died, may be wrong on that last part.

And the people who already beat the game have no reward? The greens from end game are not a big deal. Most people don't even use them, they sell them.

The people who already beat the game can go beat the last mission one more time. It would be like beating any other campaign/expansion for the first time on a character and forgetting to talk to the NPC - you just go back again and get your stuff, no big deal.
And you may sell your endgame greens, but not everyone does. Like I said, getting to pick your very own green weapon that is your reward for beating the big bad is pretty thrilling stuff to a new player.

Since the rest of the end-game greens are not customized and can be sold, those of prophecies would have to be the same.

Obviously! What I'm proposing is a little post-final-mission area where you can get a green weapon, exactly in parallel with those in Factions, Nightfall, and EotN.

I call them 'end-game areas':
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Divine_Path
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Throne_of_secrets
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Epilogue
Nightfall and Factions have:
- Armor set to craft.
- Weapon set to craft.
All of them have:
- NPCs praising the characters.
- Unique collector rewards (green items).
- Credits rolling.
- Fireworks.
So if we go with the Drill, prophecies should have the same as the rest of the campaigns:
- Shinning Blade armor set (for at least the 6 core professions)
- Common weapon set to craft (probably with a with +5 energy or +15%^50HP inherent modifier)
- Unique collector rewards (probably things like Rurik's Sword and Shield, Hablion Axe and Shield, Brechnar's Iron Hammer, Saidra's and Markis bows, Titan or Lich staves, etc...)
- Credits rolling.
- Fireworks poping.
I don't know how come I don't get tired of saying all this every single time I have the chance...

Always thought the greens dropped by the Darkness' from ToPK were considered the "end game greens"

I see them like Urgoz, Kanaxai and Mallyx ones.
'Elite area' greens:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Kanaxai%27s_Axe
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Victo%27s_Battle_Axe
See? Almost the same.
I've never seen any credits rolling while the Darknesses were dead, neither fireworks. And no praising NPCs.
If you think through, the best place for a Prophecies end-game area will be Reconquered Thunderheap Keep.
A good chance to explore there without monsters, too.

Keep in mind that there was about a full year of GW play prior to the Darkness even existing. Tomb of the Primeval Kings used to be the entrance for what is now HA. Was a lot of fun getting there and seeing how many noobs would accept a less than lvl 20 into their group having no idea of what they were getting into.
I have no need for boat party, if going to implement this, just have vision of glint give us the green token that we trade for green weapon, at a bunch of new collectors next to vision of glint spot. Not sure how to add shining blade armor as an endgame armor, but Anet figures out little details like that for us (ultimately just one more flag, which already exists since you can display beating proph in HoM, allowing you or not allowing you to talk to NPC with the armor).

its attitudes like this that just make me think they should delete this whole subforum. why have a suggestion board, when there is ABSOLUTELY no chance of it being implemented because Anet is "too busy with GW2 and so cannot do anything other than making double points weekends"
but back on topic, i think this is a great idea. i was thinking of a similar thing the other day but your idea is much better
i was kinda dissapointed when all i got for completing my first campaign was a boat ride back to droks and a vid sequence :'(
this would also be a great way to get the greens somebody (cant remember who) suggest a while back, eg: the scepter of orr, prince rurik's sword, etc.

Been over a year since I went there too, but think that you are right. Think that /cheer was more the emote used.
